Spotlight on…Tradeshow Tips and Tricks

Becoming a Tradeshow Exhibitor at the Spotlight on Learning conference can be extremely rewarding: As a Tradeshow Exhibitor you have the opportunity to showcase your products, services, and information to over 400 delegates and presenters from across Canada.

Tradeshows offer an innovative, affordable, and interactive way to reach a new audience.

Remember that for your exhibit to be successful, preparation and planning are key.  Here’s a few tips to take full advantage of this opportunity:

  • Preparation: Prepare will in advance to print materials and deliver goods. Double check the times of the tradeshow and how much time is allocated before and after the event.
  • Publicise your presence: Tell your stakeholders you’re participating – let them know why you’re there!
  • Look good: Make sure the information on your organization is clear and concise. What distinguishes your business from other, similar  businesses? Use photos to get a message across in a simple and understandable manner.
  • Website: Highlight your website and any social media sites your organization belongs to – more people find businesses and organizations online than through any other platform.
  • Have a follow-up system: How will you handle your new inquiries and contacts after the tradeshow? Ensure there’s a system in place or a staff member delegated to this task.

These are just some tips and tricks to help your exhibit stand out at the 2010 Spotlight on Learning Tradeshow.  If you have more to add please share them in the comments section below!
