The OLC would like to welcome one of the newest members of its staff, Fahim Kaderdina! To tell you a little about himself and his work, here is a brief message from Fahim:
As the new (and first!) Manager of Policy, Research and Development at the OLC, I will be the point of contac
t for any issues, questions, or concerns regarding federal and provincial government policy. I will also be responsible for researching issues that have an impact on adult literacy. I will use that research to communicate with government, business, labour, and literacy organizations to help build a broad policy framework for literacy in Ontario.
Before joining the OLC, I spent time in the private sector and in government, and I hope to be able to use that experience to bring a fresh perspective on some of the issues and challenges that the literacy sector is facing.
Never having worked in the literacy field, I’m looking to partners and supporters of the OLC to help me learn about the sector, and what you think needs to be accomplished.
I look forward to working will all of you!
